What did you learn today?

Everyone in the group had a chance to answer this question. Their answers are listed below.

  • I learned that a lot of people have different ideas on how they treat judaism. And I’m really proud of everyone.
  • To be a little more free.
  • I consieder myself artistically challenged, so doing artistic things are somewhat scary, but it was cool that today I was able to participate in my own way.
  • Everyone thinks I’m an individual but today it really showed— there’s something different about everyone, and we look at ourselves differently and the questions differently.
  • learned not to be as uptight and to incorporate the yin and yang values into what I did
  • I got more of an insight into everybody, and we did such open ended activities that it brought a great view of the range of expressions, you can incorporate almost anything into the process.
  • I learned that you want to be yin but you need to be yang too. It’s always good to be fun and hard working.
  • I learned to be more creative and it was fun.
  • Through creativity working together and listening to other people’s thoughts and ideas gives you a whole entire view of your religion in a better way of reestablishing your goals in life and having a better personalitry.
  • I just learned that there is a lot about judaism that some people didn’t know, and from my experience of judaism, I learned stuff about other people and how they view judaism.
  • I usually am not a big fan of the whole group activity thing, but I had a really good time today, with the yin and yang thing. It’s not easy to let go but this experience made it easier for me to get open.
  • I was amazed by how creative everyone was — dressing up in funky costumes — I’m really impressed with everyone having fun.
  • Learned not to be afraid to express myself.
  • I learned that art doesn’t have to be a concrete form — drawing, etc — it just means that you have to express yourself creatively.
  • I learned that if judaism was a girl it would go out with me.
  • Really judaism is undefined, because there are a lot of questions that we can’t answer with a real true answer, only with something that we can figure out — some of the things we already know.
  • It’s always interesting groupings of jewish people. I used to be afraid being jewish that people wouldn’t like me, and when I’m in a group of them I remember that I’m not alone. It’s also neat to see other people’s points of view of judaism and themselves — expressing through art. It was cool.
  • How yin and yang are incorporated into judaism, and that ink is hard to get off your hands.
  • I don’t like ink.
